QuickSight Integrations and Use Cases
Amazon QuickSight is primarily used for data visualization and reporting, integrating with several AWS services to provide insights from diverse datasets.
QuickSight can be used to visualize findings from Amazon Macie, helping to identify S3 buckets or AWS accounts with the most sensitive data. This supports targeted actions for data security.
QuickSight integrates with Kinesis Data Streams for analyzing longer-term data retention, working alongside other services like Kinesis Data Firehose, Lambda, S3, and Athena to provide comprehensive data processing and visualization capabilities.
Cost and Usage Reports (CUR), now transitioning to AWS Data Exports, can be analyzed using QuickSight, in addition to Athena and Redshift, to gain insights into AWS spending and usage patterns.
QuickSight can be used to create visuals and reports by joining data lake data (managed by AWS Lake Formation) with operational data (e.g., from Amazon Aurora). This allows for comprehensive analytics and supports enforcing column-level authorization.
